I bought this coat for my wife's birthday. When she got it she was very happy with it. after trying it on one of the front buttons fell off of it. Rather than sending it back I got the needle and thread out and sewed it back on. After a week of wearing it I noticed that two other button's were becoming loose and will also need to be resewed. I know it's not a burberry and I didn't spend $1000 on it but I think that Mr. Hilfiger could do a better job sewing button's.More detail ...

Runs Small

I am usually a size small in coats/clothes etc. This came today and on the website is said size small. When I received it today it was sized as a small but on the inside label it said S/P. Which means its a small petite. It was too tight across the shoulders/back so I returned it. I just ordered the medium. I hope the medium is no too big. I only had on a t-shirt when I tried it on today!

I wish they stated it was a small petite I never would have ordered it. Let's hope I do not have to return the medium becuase it's too big...

true to size

The coat is very nice and feels just as good as it looks. The coat is not very true to size but I think it is more the maker and their sizing. Via Spiga tends to run smaller and be cut somewhat smaller in clothing sizes. I assumed the outerwear would be tailored for the weather it conveys. I can wear the coat but not with sweaters or other items that may increase your actual size. So if you plan on wearing anything other than a basic blouse go up a size in the item when considering it for a purchase.More detail ...

Hey Nice Coat!

I was looking for a coat that would not only serve as a nice cold-weather coat but one that I could wear on dressier occasions as well. This coat serves both purposes well. It is very attractive and fits so well. (By the way I ordered a Medium which is a perfect fit for me. I'm a size 6 and I can wear heavy sweaters under the coat.) One item to note is that if you're in Siberia or someplace where the temperatures are consistently low you might want to consider another coat. Don't recommend ANY of Spiegel clothes

I really don't recommend to buy clothes from Spiegel. I made the same mistake twice by ordering 2 items from them. Both items looked great in catalogue but turned out to be of very cheap quality.
